Odelia R. Olivarez, 70, of San Benito passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday October 30, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Marcela and Raul Ramirez and her loving husband Santiago Olivarez along with one of her brothers and sister. Odelia was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife and will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by her children Leonor Vasquez (Manuel), Betty Olivarez (Joe), and Danny Olivarez along with her 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 sisters and brother. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX, with a Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm. A Resurrection Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S. Bowie St., San Benito, TX. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mike Olivarez, Mark Olivarez, Sergio Anguiano, Billy Weaver, Manuel Vasquez III, and Rudy Ramirez. Interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
