Josefina Juarez Claudio, 84, of San Benito, Texas passed away Monday August 23, 2021. Josefina was born is San Francisco de Berrios Guanajuato, Mexico on March 6, 1937. She was born to Blas and Refugia Juarez. She had 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She was raised on a farm at the foot of the Mexican Sierra. As a young girl she helped sow seeds in her father’s crops and this gave her a love to plant seeds later in life in her own garden. She married the love of her life, her very handsome husband, Juan Claudio in September of 1953. Together they raised a family and were married for 68 years. They brought into this world 10 children of which 6 are in Heaven. She loved her children unconditionally and eternally. All should be loved the way she loved us. Her greatest joy was her family and her precious garden. She was a woman of a strong family foundation and rich tradition. She shared her love of Christmas Eve traditional tamales every year with her children and grandchildren throughout so many years. This was her gift to them each Christmas eve. Her signature mole was always a delight to have too and not to mention her heavenly bean tacos that everyone enjoyed. Her precious garden was once called “The Garden of Eden” by two strangers who were passing by but stopped to admire her Christmas Poinsettias. The couple called her beautiful garden; The Garden of Eden. In that garden are rose bushes that her father-in-law gave her from a rosebush in Guanajuato. Upon her passing on August 23, 2021 we will celebrate her life and her legacy that she leaves behind. As we grieve, we remember all the wonderful moments that will forever be cherished in our hearts. May all of her family and friends know that she always made the best of a bad situation. May we all learn to take challenges like she did; her faith saved her every time. This time her faith got her to Heaven. Josefina is a Virtuous Woman and we her children and her husband of 68 years Call Her Blessed!
