Carlos A. Castro Sr, 69, of San Benito passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Lazaro B. Castro, mother Fortunata Castro and his brother, Juan Gilberto Castro. Carlos was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his children, Carlos Castro Jr. (Angelica), Karla C. Salinas (David), Jose Castro (Anahí), Jesus Castro (Liliana) and Cristian Castro (Victoria), Grandchildren: Stephanie, Jacob, Anyssa, Kylie, Bradley, Brianna, Bryan, Brandon, Joe, Marc, John, Mike, Sasha, Gustavo, Ezequiel, Carlos, Katie, Tommy, Jordyn, Damian and Cayson, Great-grandchildren: Ryan, Jesiah and Asael, Brothers: Lazaro Castro Jr, José Luis Castro, Joel Castro, Ruben Castro, Noe Castro, Sisters: María Elena Saldaña, Maria Oralia Castro, Natalia Castro and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday July 22, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel service will be held Friday July 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to be held on Monday, July 26,2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the San Benito City Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Joe Castro, Marc Castro, Tommy Castro, John Castro, Jacob Castro and Bryan Salinas; honorary pallbearers: Mike Castro, Brandon Salinas, Damian Castro and Cayson Castro.
