Eloy Martinez Jr., was born August 21, 1962, to Eloy Martinez Sr. and Francisca Ledesma Martinez in Napoleon, Ohio. He was raised in La Paloma, TX, and was a graduate of San Benito High School. His is proceeded in death by his parents and brother Samuel Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Martha Rodriguez Martinez; his children, Daniel Seddon, Eliz Martinez (Felipe Naranjo Jr.) and Samantha Ann Martinez (Victor Ortega); and his granddaughters Danielle Lea Wood-Seddon and Samira Adelin Seddon. He is also survived by his siblings, Oberlin (+Licha) Fiscal, Rosita Martinez, Abelardo (Olivia) Martinez, Yolanda (Ramiro) Cano, Maria Eloisa Martinez, Isobel Hernandez, Helen ( Alberto) Hernandez, Ramiro (Mary) Martinez, Victor (Felicitas) Martinez, Martha Ann (+Alex) Martinez, Juan Antonio Martinez, Jaime (Elena) Martinez, Olga Mejia, and Teresa (Martin) Sanchez and numerous nieces and nephews. Eloy was a life long True Blue Dallas Cowboys fan. On game days, he enjoyed bbqing and displaying his collection of Dallas Cowboys flags. He loved Sundays at his parent's home where he and siblings would gather. Eloy was the life of the party and a jokester. If you couldn't find him, all you needed to do was look for the group of people laughing hysterically. He enjoyed fishing and absolutely loved dancing. Services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Our Lady Lourdes Catholic Church 22101-22149 Farmer Ave La Paloma, Texas 78586. At the request of his family, they ask the color black not be worn as they would like this to be a celebration of his life. Dallas Cowboys attire or the team colors are recommended.
