Obituary of Israel Garcia

Israel Garcia, 56, of San Benito, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 15, 2021, at Harlingen Medical Center. Israel was preceded in death by his parents, Victoriano and Vicenta Garcia. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Micaela Garcia; a son, Israel Garcia, Jr.; a daughter, Ana Garcia; and siblings, Martina Garcia, Tranquiliano Garcia, Ema Garcia, Antonia Garcia and Guadalupe Garcia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 18, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in Mercedes, Texas. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus, all individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
