Obituary of Yolanda Puente Galloway

Yolanda “Chola” Puente Galloway, 69, of Port Isabel, TX passed away on March 04, 2021 in Brownsville, TX. Yolanda was a graduate of San Antonio Community College. She was a bookkeeper and self-employed for many years. She loved baking for family and friends and loved playing BINGO. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and Life Long Resident of Port Isabel. She was preceded in death by her parents: Gregorio and Petra Torres Puente, her beloved husband; Alvah “Jimmy” Galloway, and brother: Antonio “Tony” Puente. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers: Gregorio (Elida) Puente and Rey (Lucy) Puente of Port Isabel and Ernie (Velma) Puente of Laguna Vista; sisters: Gloria Hamill of Grandfield, Ok and Dina (Rod) Rodriguez of Laguna Vista, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus, all individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
