Obituary of Mirtha Idalia Mares

Mirtha Idalia Mares, 48, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2021, at Valley Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Mares was preceded in death by her father, Welester Barron. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Conrado Mares; children, Cindy Mares, Amy (Pedro Daniel) Guadiana, Conrado Mares, Jr., Andy Mares, Alex Mares, Bryan Mares, Myriah Mares and Sophia Mares; mother, Maria Dolores Barron Cavazos; siblings, Letty Barron, Gloria Barron, Oscar Barron, Welester Barron, Jr., Nelda Barron, Olga Barron, Patricia Barron, Mayra Barron, Brenda Barron, Victor Barron, Cesar Barron, Dora Barron and Juanita Barron; and grandbaby number one on the way. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021, from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 5, at Thomae-Garza with burial to follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas. Due to current COVID restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy, limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
