Laura Cordova was born in Jimenez, Mexico, December 28, 1940, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2021, at the age of 80 years. She was the youngest of 7 children and the only girl. She immigrated with her family to the United States when she was 4 years old and she remained a lifelong resident of San Benito. She married her high school sweetheart, Fito and together they had 3 children, who were the pride of her life. A doting wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Laura never hesitated to put the interests and needs of everyone ahead of her own. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out, and will be missed by her family and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Adolfo Cordova Sr.; her parents, Bartolo and Candelaria Rodriguez; her brothers, Ricardo, Salvador, Narciso, Rogelio, and Ramiro Rodriguez. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandy Hullum (her children are Blake Hullum, Katie (Alex) Well and Scott Hullum), Adolfo (Terry) Cordova Jr. (their children Camille Cordova, Sara Cordova and Carlos Cordova) and Mike Cordova ( Maribel) Carmela Cordova and Lucas Cordova; and a brother, Carlos Ramirez. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Due to current COVID restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy, limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
