Obituary of Estella Hernandez

Please share a memory of Estella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Estella Hernandez was born in Port Isabel, Texas on November 5, 1958 and entered eternal rest at Valley Baptist Hospital on September 16, 2020. She came from a big family and was an amazing sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, daughter, wife, and best-friend to anyone she met. For many, Estella was a mother figure, a support system, and her home was the safe haven when there was no other place to go. She was a ray of sunshine on a rainy day and left a print on your heart if she ever crossed your path. She really appreciated spending quality time with her family whether it be playing bingo, everybody sitting at the table for a holiday, or even watching her novelas with her loved ones. Estella enjoyed being a volunteer resident council member and a board of commissioner for The Port Isabel Housing Authority. She was selfless and always put other first. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jesus Moriel; Parents: Rosalio Hernandez, Sr. and Josefa G. Hernandez; Grandparents; Bernando and Martina Puente Garcia; One brother in-law; Apolinar Vasquez; One sister in-law: Martha Garcia. She is survived by her two daughters; Vanessa Moriel (Noel Gonzalez), Abigail Moriel (Aaron Woods). Two sisters: Martha E. Vasquez, Alma A. Guerra (who she considered her baby sis); Three brothers; Miguel Hernandez, Rosalio Hernandez Jr., Gustavo Hernandez; 7 Grandchildren; Briana N. Villarreal, Jaime Gonzalez Jr., Jayden R. Gonzalez, Noel Gonzalez Jr., Josiah A. Woods, Jestella R. Gonzalez, Elijah L. Woods; and serval wonderful loving nieces and nephews.
