Irma Gonzalez Garcia, 76 of Harlingen, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020. She is preceded in death by two sons, Reynaldo Garcia and Raul Garcia; one daughter, Maria Del Rosario Vargas; two brothers, Gerardo Gonzalez and Roberto Gonzalez; and one sister, Irene Gonzalez. Irma is survived by her son, Rene Garcia; three daughters, Rosa Eloisa Garcia, Elsa Rodriguez, and Enedina Hernandez; several grandchildren; and one sister, Hilda Gomez. A visitation will begin Thursday, August 20, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Esparza Cemetery in El Ranchito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (may include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
