Juan Machuca, 97 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at his residence in San Benito. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Machuca and Teodora M. Machuca; wife, Guadalupe S. Machuca; his children: Rodolfo Machuca, Alfonso Machuca, and Alicia Machuca Trevino; grandchildren, Velma Machuca, Reymundo Lopez Jr., Albert Aguilar, Idalia Vaquera, Elizabeth Machuca, and Rodolfo Machuca Jr., and great grandson Juan Jose Reyes Jr. Juan is survived by his wife, Olivia Machuca; children, Alfredo Machuca (Esmeralda), Patricia Lopez (Reymundo+), George Machuca Sr. (Maria A+.), Ester Munoz, Juan Machuca Jr., and Maria Machuca; grandchildren, Alfredo Leal Machuca, Michelle Trevino, Sandra M. Lumbreras, Alejandro Lopez, Gloria Lopez, Celina Gonzalez, Gabriel Lopez, George Machuca Jr., Ricardo Machuca, Roy Aguilar, Felipe Aguilar, Porfirio Rodriguez Jr., Melissa Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez, Ashley Rodriguez, Johnny Machuca, Angel Machuca, Michael Machuca, Julian Machuca, Jaime Machuca, Robert Trevino Jr., Belinda Trevino, Raul Ipina, and Mona Machuca; along with 49 great grandchildren; and 45 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will begin Monday, June 22, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St., San Benito, Texas, and burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 50% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
