Maria A. Garcia, 66, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020. Maria worked for APC Health Care Provider Agency. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Leocadia Garcia; and brother, Mario Alberto Garcia. Maria is survived by her loving children, Juan Carlos (Patricia) Garcia, Mario Alberto (Romie) Garcia, Blanca (Daniel) Chio, Casimiro Medina, Alfredo (Angela) Garcia, and Reyes (Brenda) Garcia; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will begin Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and burial will follow at San Benito Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 50% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
