Maria Valentina Garza, 98 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born February 13, 1922 in San Fernando, Tamaulipas Mexico to Quirino G. Garza and Maria De Los Angeles Carpio. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, and her children, Natalia Valdez and Felix Garza. Maria is survived by her children, Leonel Garza, Noe (Eulalia) Garza, Elida G. Sanchez, Eumelia G. Barrera, Yolanda Garza (Ramiro Vega), Maria M. (Jose Martin) Ortega, Sylvia G. (Braulio Jr.) Garza, Alicia G. (Juan) Aguilar, Jose E. Garza, and Maria Tejada; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment must follow the 25% occupancy limit of 50 persons or less and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks.
