Irene Vasquez Alvarez, 71 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was lifetime resident of San Benito.
Irene is survived by her sister, Elida Ortiz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 5:00 p.m. and will continue Sunday, March 8, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S. Bowie St., San Benito, TX 78586. Cremation will follow in accordance to her wishes.
