Juan Y. Chavez, 73 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas. He was a man who loved his family and worked so hard all his life to provide for them. He loved being outside in his shed listening to his music. He loved all his grandchildren so deeply. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dominga Delgado Chavez; son, Roberto Chavez; mother, Maria Molina; his father who passed 3 weeks before he was born; and his brother, A. Ed Molina. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Juan (Anna Marie) Chavez Jr., Sylvia Chavez, and Nora Chavez; grandchildren, Fabian Chavez Padilla, Kenneth Dwight Chavez, Kristian Marie Chavez, Brandon Jonathan Chavez, Natalie Nicole Gallardo, Joanna C. Ramirez Chavez, Melanie L. Ramirez Chavez, Anthony Omar Gallardo, Kevin J. Ramirez Chavez, Kimberly Nicole Gallardo, Robert Isaac Chavez; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Dora Love, Minerva Norbury, Belinda (Alfonso) Zavala, and Nora Lee (Jesse) Martinez; one brother, A. Mike (Sally) Molina; and the Delgado Family!!!! Visitation will begin Friday, December 20, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and burial will follow at San Benito Memorial Cemetery.
