Obituary of Guadalupe Bautista Herrera

Guadalupe Bautista Herrera, 87 of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, surrounded by his family at Valley Regional Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Los Fresnos.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Maria Luz Herrera; and siblings, Nicanora Olivares, Vicente Herrera, and Guillermo Herrera; and one granddaughter, Avery Nicole Galvan.

Guadalupe is survived by his former wife, Juana S. Herrera; eight daughters, Maggie (Michael) Herrera, Nila (Camilo Cesar) Gaytan, Delma (Francisco) Farias, Nellie (John R.) Gilbert, Leticia (Jose) Noriega, Alicia (Alfredo) Cumpian, Imelda (Javier) Sauceda, and Veronica (Juan G.) Galvan; four sons, Pedro Herrera, Felipe (Belinda) Herrera, Agapito (Lucy) Herrera, and J.J. (Linda) Sanchez; 20 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Lazaro Herrera and Ray Sotelo; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral services will conclude after the service.
