Obituary of Ramiro Resendez, Sr.

Ramiro Resendez Sr., 66 of San Benito, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13^th, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of San Benito, Texas.

He was a hardworking man who loved his community. He loved talking about the days when he was a truck driver and of the many places he has been across the country. He loved his job working for NINOS Head Start where he worked for many years and was proud to be a part of it. Ramiro loved music, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing at parties when he got the chance. He was known for his lighthearted humor and helping anyone in need. He will be dearly missed.

Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents, Meliton Resendez Sr. and Paulina Ordonez Resendez; sister, Virginia Ruiz; and daughter, Angela Resendez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Susana Resendez; his daughters, Sally (Aaron) Resendez Gonzalez and Elizabeth Resendez; sons, Ramiro Resendez Jr. and Christopher Resendez; brother and sisters, Estella Rodriguez, Concepcion De Leon, Meliton Resendez Jr., Delia Aguilar, Mayra Resendez, Elida Chavez, Rosalinda Martinez; 3 grandchildren, Jayden Matthew Resendez, Shayla Grace Gonzalez, and Avalynn Faith Gonzalez; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
