Obituary of Belinda G. Gonzalez

Belinda Gutierrez Gonzalez, 56 of Rio Hondo, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was a lifetime resident of Rio Hondo and a diehard Rio Hondo Bobcat fan. Belinda was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Abelardo and Flora Lopez Gutierrez; husband, Ernesto Gonzalez; and brother, Daniel Hernandez.

Belinda is survived by her brother, Gerardo (Irazema) Hernandez; sister, Imelda (Jesus Jr.) Flores; her best friend/sister, Alicia Scarborough, who was always by her side; along with her beloved cat, Guero. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and other family members.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 13, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at La Trinidad Assembly of God Church, 500 N. Harrolds, in Rio Hondo with Pastor Eddie De La Rosa officiating. Burial will follow to Rio Hondo City Cemetery in Rio Hondo.
