Obituary of Cody Alan Jones

Cody Alan Jones, 29, of Rio Hondo, Texas, passed away on November 4th, 2019.

Cody was born in Harlingen, Texas to Mark and Janie Jones on November 2nd, 1990. He was raised and went to school in Rio Hondo, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi and received a Bachelor of Applied Science, graduating with honors and on the Dean’s list.

Growing up near South Padre Island, he loved to surf and was never more at home than when he was on the beach and in the water. He had an infectious personality and wonderful heart that he shared with everyone he encountered. Cody, who was always ready to love and support those around him, was a true friend to many and will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.

Cody is preceded in death by his mother, Janie.

He is survived by his father, Mark; brother, Casey and his wife, Carolyn, and their two children, Janie and Callie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:15am Thursday, November 7th, at Rio Hondo Baptist Church, with a short luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478
