Obituary of Francisco Garza Serna

Francisco Garza Serna, 80, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Mr. Garza was a resident of Los Fresnos, Texas and owned his own business in Matamoros, Mexico. Prior to owning his own business, Francisco worked extremely hard as a farm laborer in the area of Los Fresnos and Los Laureles, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Garza Borrego and Jovita Martinez Serna; stepmother, Eloisa Garza Borrego; brothers, Jesus Garza, Pedro Garza, and Daniel Garza; and sisters Silvia Garza and Francisca Valdez Garza.

Francisco is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jesus Garza, Silvia M. Galvan, Monica R. Garza, Jovita Garza, and Nora A. Hernandez, and sister-in-law, Maria A. Garza; siblings, Roberto, Olivia, Rosario, Ildefonso, Guadalupe, Yolanda, Dora, and Herlinda Garza.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, July 23, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with burial to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are, Fidel Hall, Santiago Hernandez Jr., Oscar Hernandez, Kevin Galvan, Jesus Galvan, and Cesar Gaytan.
