Obituary of Guadalupe Fuentes Jr.

Guadalupe Fuentes Jr., 54, of Laredo/San Benito, Texas passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 in Laredo.

Guadalupe was always involved in Food Service. He started at Wyatt’s Cafeteria of Harlingen, Church’s Chicken of San Benito, and Whataburger of Mercedes, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Manuela Conde Fuentes Sr.; and his brother, Juan Herrera.

Guadalupe is survived by his loving children, Jennifer Marie Fuentes, Guadalupe Fuentes III, Katherine Fuentes, Kelly Lee Fuentes, Samantha Jo Fuentes, Ashlie Marie Fuentes, and Andres Ruben Fuentes; 2 grandchildren, Lilliana Elizabeth Gonzalez and Angel Gabriel Gonzalez Jr.; 4 siblings, his twin, Jose (Elisa) Fuentes, Sulema Fuentes (Eulogio) Rivas, Gloria (Gilberto) Cantu, and Roberto Hernandez.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service tentatively scheduled at 6:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at San Benito City Cemetery in San Benito, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jose Fuentes, Joey Fuentes, Eulogio Rivas, Eloy Trevino, John Trevino, and Angel Gonzalez.
