Obituary of Maria Alicia Adameit

Maria Alicia “Licha” Adameit, 53, of Rio Hondo, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jose G. Gomez Jr., Nieves Juarez Gomez, Adelido Cantu and Ramona M. Cantu; 2 uncles: Alejandro Cantu and Alberto Cantu; cousin: Bobby Gomez as well as her father in law Robert Carl Adameit.

Licha is survived by her husband, John Charles Adameit; 2 daughters, Kasandra Lee Adameit and Seleena Marie Adameit; 2 grandchildren, Aiyden John Adameit and Aiyvery Nevaeh Hernandez; parents, Jose Ramon and Leonor Cantu Gomez; siblings, Jose R. Gomez Jr., Maria Elena Rodriguez, Jaime Roel Gomez and Alfredo Cantu; Mother in law, Maria Teresa Adameit as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Roman Jose Rodriguez, John David Gomez, Jose Ramon Gomez III, Justin Richard Gomez, Vicente Sanchez, Ricardo Montoya, Danny Ray Hernandez, Peter Jacob Adameit, and Michael Adameit Jr.

Visitation will begin Friday, April 19, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Tres Noria’s Cemetery in Santa Monica, Texas.
