Obituary of Robert David Fletcher

Robert David Fletcher, 71, of Laguna Vista, Texas passed away on April 18, 2019. He was a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Neil Ross and Helen Elaine Popp Fletcher.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Georgina Bennett Fletcher; stepson, Gustavo Valdez Jr. (Carson Camille); brothers, Neil Fletcher and Jeff (Mary Lynn) Fletcher; grandson, Gustavo Valdez III; and several relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will begin Monday, April 22, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a rosary at 8:30 a.m. A chapel service will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with inurnment at 11:00 a.m. at Rio Grande State Veteran Cemetery in Mission, Texas with military honors under the auspices of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1065.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Robert Fletcher is requesting donations be made to Sunshine Haven, 7105 West Lakeside Blvd., Olmito, TX 78575.
