Obituary of Maria Arcilia Machuca

Maria Arcilia Machuca, 70, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Mata; her parents: Esther and Andres Mata; two brothers: Guadalupe Mata and Jose Mata; two sisters: Dalia Mata and Esmeralda Mata; and her mother-in-law, Guadalupe Machuca.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, George C. Machuca Sr; one daughter, Sonia Mata; two sons: George (Alyssa Rodriguez) Machuca Jr. and Ricardo (Melissa Carrera) Machuca; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; father-in-law Juan Machuca Jr; three brothers: Juan Mata, Martin Mata, and Roy Mata; one sister, Olga Mata; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 12 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.

A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. Interment will follow at San Benito Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are George Machuca Jr., Andres Lara Jr., George Machuca III, Ricardo Antonio Machuca, Ricardo Angel Machuca, Alfredo Machuca Jr., Gabriel Lopez, and Raul H. Mota.
