Obituary of Elvita Osorio Zurita

Elvita Osorio Zurita, 91, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Jesus Zurita; two sons: Adan Zurita and Juan V. Zurita; one daughter, Almira Ramirez; her parents, Panfilo and Maria Francisca Osorio; and siblings: Eliezer, Ruben, Manuel, Mauro, Dioselina, Higinia, and Ana Maria.

Elvita is survived by her loving children: Maria “Mari” (Carlos) Zurita Alvarez, Teresa (Dusty) Smith, Jesus O. (Angie) Zurita, and Inocente ( Frances) Zurita ; two daughters-in-law: Maria Antonia Zurita and Lorraine Zurita; sister-in-law, Carlotta Osorio; 18 grandchildren: Vicente (Janie) Alvarez, Victor (Victoria) Alvarez; Alicia (Victor) Baldovinos, Carla Alvarez, Luis Zurita, Alina (Robert) Leyva, Lisa Zurita, Daniel (Sara) Zurita, Rachel (Tomas) Zurita, Melissa Zurita, Christopher (Sara) Zurita, Ana Lucia (Joey) Garza, Marisela (Raymundo) Martinez, David (Maryann) Zurita, Suzanna (Felipe) Perez, Rachel Kalb, Henry Kalb, and Tunis Perez; 37 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
