Elva Acosta Milius, age 60, of San Benito, Texas, passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, November 24, 2018, at her residence. Elva was born in San Benito, Texas where she loved most of her life and lived many years in Iowa as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Petra Gutierrez and Celso Acosta.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Mary Julie Aguilera (Ernesto), Renee Castro, and Ruby Ann Hernandez; sisters, Corina Acosta, Flora Kowalski, Nelly Cornejo, Juana Acosta, Norma Gomez; brothers, George Acosta, Jose Salazar, Ignacio (Nacho) Acosta, Francisco Acosta, and Carlos Acosta. She also had five granddaughters and four grandsons.

In addition, the family wants to extend our appreciation and love to Maria Monroy, Elva’s caretaker, who stood by her throughout all her difficult health issues. Not only did she treat Elva as her client, but became part of our family due to all the love she showed her.
