Obituary of Marta Elva Moreno

Marta Elva Moreno, 60, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in San Benito.

Marta Elva Moreno was born on December 18th 1957 to Ernesto and Lucinda Trevino Moreno. Marta taught for the San Benito School District for 31 years as a bilingual teacher. She had a passion for teaching and inspiring her students to reach their potentials. Marta attend every students school year graduation for their senior year from her very first class to the last one she was able to remember. Marta was a faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church where she taught CCD classes and would help the Father with anything that he may need. Every time that she would travel, her family had to make sure there was a church nearby so she could attend mass.  She volunteered her time at retirement homes offering her arts and crafts skills. She loved being around family. She would always try to attend every family event as much as possible. She is greatly loved by her nieces and nephews. She loved music especially Michael Jackson and the oldies. She loved to danced and recently joined Zumba classes.  

Visitation will begin Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Benito Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
