Obituary of Marijose Rivera

Marijose Rivera, 9, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel, Texas and attended Derry Elementary School in Port Isabel, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Angela Contreras.

Marijose is survived by her loving parents, Obdulio and Alma Delia Segovia Rivera; 5 sisters: Angela Rivera, Icsel Rivera, Alma Rivera, Jullissa Rivera, and Nataly Rivera; paternal grandfather, Moises Rivera; and maternal grandparents, Jose Segovia Gonzalez and Refunia Moreno Romero.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 31, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 705 S. Longoria Street  in Port Isabel, Texas.

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with burial to follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery in Port Isabel, Texas.
