Obituary of Reynaldo Guajardo Jr.

Reynaldo Guajardo Jr., 54, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Harlingen, Texas June 19, 1963, son of Reynaldo Guajardo Sr+ and Agueda Guajardo. 

Reynaldo is survived by his wife; Maria Alicia Guajardo, his children; Reynaldo (Maria ) Guajardo III, Jason Casillas, and Sarah Garcia, two grandchildren; Alysa “half pint” and Leon “the lion” Guajardo. 

He also leaves behind his six siblings, Rogerio (Janie) Guajardo, Rosalinda (David) Martinez, Ramon (Christine) Guajardo, Raquel (Marc Anthony) Ramos, Rosario (Ramon) Garcia, and Rafael (Quisela) Guajardo.

He will be missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Reynaldo Guajardo Jr. graduated from San Benito High School in 1981. Reynaldo was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan but always stayed loyal to his San Benito Mighty Greyhounds. He coached basketball and football at the Boys and Girls Club.  Reynaldo had music in his heart since childhood and played various instruments. Reynaldo Jr., was the owner/operator of Castle Pest Control and a active member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church and A.C.T.S.

Visitation will be held on  Tuesday, May 15, 2018  from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a  Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans cemetery in Mission, Texas.
