Elizabeth Susan Sweeten, 61, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Port Isabel, Texas.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Mission High School. She was a resident of Port Isabel and a past employee for the PI Press as an editor for many years, as well as a payroll clerk for Dirty Al’s Seafood Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Marion Abbott and Bertha Gertrude Rigler; her companion, Alan Roach; and sister, Mary Michelletti.

Surviving Elizabeth is survived by two sisters: Diana Crane and Lily Abbott (George) Young; brother-in-law, Dr. Gil Michelletti; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at The View at Pelican Station Event Center located on 201 S. Garcia Street in Port Isabel, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laguna Madre Humane Society, 103 E. Maxan Street in Port Isabel, Texas 78578.
