Obituary of Romana M. Noyola

Romana M. Noyola, 101, of Corpus Christi/San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018.

Romana was a devoted wife and mother to her husband Chacho and her 2 children Orlando and Sylvia.  She was a woman of great faith and prayed daily to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was known to her great-grandchildren Andrew and Laura as “Nanita” we are all going to miss her greatly but know that she will be looking out for us. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregiver Maria Robles for her patience and concerns for our mother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Natividad M. Noyola (Chacho), parents; Geronimo and Angelita Muniz, and one sister; Rosa Villarreal.

Mrs. Noyola is survived by her son; Orlando (Darlene) Noyola of Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter; Sylvia (Apolonio) Villarreal of Harlingen, Texas, grandchildren; Angela Noyola and Justin Noyola of Corpus Christi, Veronica (Michael) Muniz from Harlingen, and Daniel Villarreal from Austin, Texas, great grandchildren; Andrew Muniz and Lauren Muniz from Harlingen, Texas.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Orlando Noyola, Justin Noyola, Apolonio Villarreal, Richard Noyola, Mario Cortez and Michael Muniz.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. Entombment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
