Obituary of Maria Laura Spencer

Maria Laura Spencer, 72, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Delmar Leroy Spencer; parents, Jose and Oralia Villarreal; brother, Ruben Villarreal; her twin sister Felicita Villarreal Castillo and Amelia Villarreal.

Maria Laura is survived by her two children, Lizde E. (Rafael) Cardenas and Reynaldo Delmar Spencer; four grandchildren, Joshua Matthew Martinez, Reynaldo Delmar Spencer Jr., Mason Royce Spencer, and Lauryn Alyvia Spencer; four brothers, Jose Cruz Villarreal, Martin Villarreal, Reynaldo Villarreal, and Jose Angel Villarreal; and two sisters, Juana Soledad Cotton and Maria Manuela De la Garza and their families.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
