Obituary of Kathleen Jewel De La Rosa

Kathleen Jewel De La Rosa, 77, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Kathleen was pure sunshine to people who knew her and often put others before herself. An avid animal lover her loved extended to all. She retired from the Los Fresnos School District where she was an all-around wonderful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Wayne and Kathleen May Sehon, three children; Wendy, Kathy and Dirk Strong. 

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jesse J. De La Rosa, one son, Darin Strong, one stepson, Jesse Jose De La Rosa II, one sister, Dolores Nacey as well as her grandchildren, Jewel Nicole Gracia, Jon-Robert Kirkconnell, Elijah Emartha and Kalyn Brooke Strong

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

Chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Thomae Garza Funeral Directors with cremation to follow in accordance with her wishes.
