Obituary of Cecilio Contreras

Cecilio Contreras, 80, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on August 9, 2017 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.  

He was preceded in death by his mother Martina Estala Contreras and father Felipe Contreras; as well as one sister Maria Trinidad Lozano.

Cecilio is survived by his loving wife, of 55 years, Maria Contreras; two daughters: Maribel Contreras and Leticia Contreras Anderson; one son, Jose Hugo Contreras; six grandchildren: Mark Anthony Alaniz, Aryan Myranda Garcia, Jose Hugo Contreras Jr., Robert Daniel Contreras, Felipe Contreras and Angelina Marie Ortiz and one sister; Simona Contreras as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon to                       9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 12, 2017 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, Texas with Interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Noel Rendon, Mark Anthony Alaniz, Jose Hugo Contreras, Robert Ramirez Jr., Martin Garcia, Johnny Sierra, J.J. Garcia and Danny Garcia.
