San Benito - Linda C. Diaz entered into eternal rest after a long battle with breast cancer surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Linda was born on September 27, 1969 to her loving parents, Eusebio and Felipa Cervantes. In addition to spending tme with her family, Linda enjoyed playing Co-Ed softball and watching baseball. Linda was preceded in death by her aunt Virginia S. Cervantes. She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Diaz; her loving chldren: Ricky Diaz, Josh Diaz,and Gina Diaz; her parents: Eusebio and Felipa Cervantes, 1 brother: Eusebio (Martha) Cervantes,Jr., 2 sisters: Norma (Joe) Cavazos and Debra C. Staples, paternal grandmother: Virginia Cervantes, maternal grandmother: Juanita Montez, father and mother in law, Porfirio and Carlota Diaz; brother in law, Jorge (Susanna) Gonzalez and sister in laws' Mari (Joseph) Martinez, Monica (Ramiro) Benavides and Melinda Diaz; several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and others who loved and will miss her dearly. "Linda you will always be in our hearts forever" The Diaz family will be receiving visitors on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
