La Paloma/San Benito, Tx. - Norma Alicia Mata Cardoza, 33 of La Paloma and San Benito, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at her residence. Norma was employed with San Benito School District since 1999 as a Teacher Aid. She was a member of Iglesia Torre Fuerte of Brownsville. She survived by her husband, Martin Cardoza of San Benito. Daughter, JoAnn Alyssa Cardoza of San Benito; Son, Andrew Cardoza of San Benito. Parents, Alberto and Maria Mata of Florida; 3 brothers, Mario (Lupita) Mata, Jorge Mata, and Adrian Mata; 2 Sisters, Alma (Jessie) Lara and Elda Mata. Father and Mother in law, Manuel and Olga Cardoza; Several nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles. Visitation will be held today March 29, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Services to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday March 30, 2007 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home North Chapel. Interment will follow to Esparza Cemetery in El Ranchito. Pallbearers will be Mario Mata, Adrian Mata, Jorge Mata, Freddy Cardoza, Juan Cardoza and Salome Cardoza.
