San Benito - Lorenza M. Reza, 83, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Salvino Reza; 3 brothers, Clemente Mata, Tano Mata, and Alberto Mata; and 1 sister, Abunida Munoz. Ms. Reza was a lifetime resident of San Benito, a member of Iglesia Cristiana Bethel, and was awarded Miss San Benito Queen in 1932. She was a loving mother and very active in her church. She is survived by her daughter, Socorro R. Nava of San Benito; 2 grandsons, Juan (Melinda) Rios of Indiana; and Andres (Mari) Nava of San Benito; 1 granddaughter, Lucy (Job) Garcia of Corpus Christi, TX; 12 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Juanita Pena of San Benito. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Iglesia Cristiana Bethel, 451 Commerce, in San Benito. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery. Ms. Reza's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Words of comfort may be sent to the family of Lorenza M.
