San Benito, Texas J. Carmen Ponce, 78 was born on July 16, 1928 in Zaragoza, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and entered into eternal peace on Monday, January 22, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Ponce is survived by his wife, Rita Ponce of San Benito, Texas; four daughters Berta Ponce, Herlinda Cortez, Martina Ponce and Maria Ponce; three sons Juan Ponce, Pedro Ponce and Jose Ponce; two sisters Guadalupe Loredo & Josefa Loredo both of Zaragoza, S.L. Potosi, Mexico; two brothers Valentin Loredo and Primitivo Loredo; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Juan Ponce, Jose Ponce, Jose Ponce, Jr., George Lopez, Adan Carrizales, and Alicia Lopez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 1/24/2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary scheduled at 7:00 p.m. his funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, 1/25/2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and interment will follow to the San Benito City Cemetery.
