Juan A. Cantu SAN BENITO — Juan A, Cantu, 72 entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by his family. Mr. Cantu was born on May 15, 1934 in San Benito, Texas. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a lifetime native of San Benito, Texas. He retired as a Farm Foreman working in the Rio Grande Valley, and also in California. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Maria R. Cantu of San Benito, Texas; daughter: Rosa Maria Cantu of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 sons: Raymundo (Martha) Cantu of San Benito, Texas, Reynaldo Cantu, Juan Cantu, Jr. both of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 5 brothers: Ricardo Cantu of Brownsville, Texas, Pedro Cantu of Amarillo, Texas, Francisco Cantu of San Benito, Texas, Margarito Cantu of Houston, Texas, Ramon Cantu of Austin, Texas; One sister: Florinda Cantu; Niece: Esmeralda Cantu. He was preceded in death by his parents; Francisco and Florinda Arguelles Cantu, 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
