Los Fresnos/Laureles, Texas Ambrosio Sanchez, Sr., 77, entered into eternal life at his residence on August 16, 2006. Mr. Sanchez was born on December 7, 1928 to Alcadio & Guadalupe Garza Sanchez in Laureles, Texas. In our Almighty Father's infinite wisdom the time arrived for him to take a place in his heavenly kingdom. Your final farewell is a bitter sweet event simply because you will be dearly missed by many, however, knowing you will dwell in Eternal Peace in the House of our Lord is the safe consolation. He proudly served his country during the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Army, later he served in peacetime with the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, and retired as an Electrical Technician from TCI Cablevision and was a native of Laureles, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria De Jesus Sanchez; parents, Alcadio & Guadalupe Garza Sanchez; sister, Macaria Galarza; and his nephew, Joe Galarza, Jr. He is survived by 7 children, Mary Sanchez, Alcario Sanchez, Jose Angel Sanchez, Socorro Sanchez, Terry Diaz, and Kathy Wilkins all of Austin, Texas; and Ambrosio Sanchez, Jr. of Laureles, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 4 great - grandchildren, 2 brothers, Simon and Bernardo Sanchez; and 3 sisters, Mariana Gonzalez, Gregoria Hobbs, and Gloria Luna. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Angel Sanchez, Ambrosio Sanchez, Jr., Henry Rodriguez, Pvt. Denetra Mathis Cantu, Jesse Rodriguez, and Joseph Nissen. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 from 12 noon to 9:00 P.M., Sunday, August 20, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 21, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow to Los Cuates Cemetery, Full Military honors will be under the direction of the United States Marine Corps.
