San Benito, TX - Manuela S. Saldivar, 73, of San Benito, TX, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at her residence in San Benito. Manuela was born on December 25, 1934 in San Benito. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Salazar; and her loving brother, Jose Salazar; She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jose Saldivar; her loving daughters, Janie (Ruben) of San Benito, Gloria (Eduardo), Sylvia (Lolo), Norma (Juan), and Mindy, all of Illinois; her 17 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; Her brothers, Juan (Terry) Salazar and Gilberto (Socorro) Salazar and her sister in law, Rosa Salazar; all of San Benito; She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, daughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin December 16, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue on Wednesday December 17, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday December 18, 2008 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito.
