San Benito, TX. - Genoveva Gomez, 74, passed away on Friday June 1, 2007 in Sioux City, Iowa. Genoveva is survived by her four daughters: Guadalupe (Emilio) Bernal, Irma Flores, Leticia Gomez, and Yolanda (Russell) Van Praag; Her three sons: Raul (Tina Rowe) Gomez, Alfredo Gomez, and Jorge Gomez; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, Three sisters: Lucinda Garcia, Concha Delgado, and Maria Alfaro; And 1 brother; Santiago Trevino. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix Trevino and Clara Perez; Two brothers: David Trevino and Pedro Trevino; Four Sisters, Ester Trevino, Victoria Abrego, Josefina Trevino and Guadalupe Vera. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 3:00 pm at The Apostolic Church, located on 443 Julian Street in San Benito with Pastor Jonas Banudos presiding. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito, Words of comfort may be sent to the family of Genoveva Gomez at www.thomaegarza.com.
