Rio Hondo, Texas: Herminia A. Galvez, 86 of Rio Hondo, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Herminia was a life resident of Rio Hondo and a member of St. Helens Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Preceded in death by her husband, Rosendo R. Galvez; Parents, Policarpio & Eulalia V. Arismendi; and a Brother, Andres Arismendi. She survived by her loving children, Reynaldo (Mary) Galvez and Gloria (Robert Quesada) Arismendi both of Rio Hondo. 6 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. 2 Brothers, Vicente (Isabel) Arismendi of Rio Hondo and Policarpio (Armila) Arismendi, Jr of San Benito; 2 Sisters, Eloisa (Salvador) Salas of Corpus Christi and Elida Arismendi of San Benito; Sister in law, Irma Arismendi of Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will be held today Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2008 at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Rio Hondo and Interment will follow to San Vicente Cemetery in San Vicente, Texas.
