Juan L. (Rocha) Garza. 89, of Rio Hondo, Texas entered into eternal life on September 10, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. He was born March 8, 1918 in Burgos, Tamaulipas. He married his wife Camela and moved to Ohio. In Ohio he attended Commercial Trading Institute and Terra Community College. In 1952 he went to work for Whirlpool and retired after more than 26 years with Clyde Division. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmela Garza, his daughter Leticia Oberdonf, parents Daniel and Maria L. Garza, sisters Josepha Garza and Rita Pena, brothers Valentine and Julian Garza. He is survived by his sons Dante and Hiram Garza both from Ohio. His brother Andres Garza from San Benito, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday September 13, from 4 PM to 9 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held Friday at 10 AM with burial to follow at Rio Hondo Community Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Lorenzo Pelly and staff at the Wound Care Clinic, Third floor at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Pastor Paul Luna, Pastor Nunez, Brownsville EMS, and Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
