Obituary of Maria Lydia Atkinson Lopez

Maria Lydia Atkinson Lopez, 71, passed away on February 10, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Manuela Atkinson; and siblings: Jose Atkinson Jr and Manuel Atkinson.
Maria is survived by her husband, Jesus F. Lopez; her children: Cynthia (Gabriel) Perez, Norma Carranza, Jessica Lopez, Ruben (Sarah) Lopez; and 12 grandchildren: Gabriel and Lilliana Perez, Andrew Jose Lopez, Erica Jimenez, Kimberly Vargas, George and Drew Puebla, Ruben III, Jared, Kyra, Kylie, and Briana. Also surviving her are her siblings: Delia (Israel) Ramos, Ofelia (Guadalupe) Torres, Fred Atkinson, Rudy (Maricela) Atkinson, Rafael Atkinson, and Mary Jane (Javier) Atkinson. 
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. 
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at St. Helens Catholic Church. Burial will follow at La Leona Cemetery.
