Obituary of Jose Luis Chavez

Jose Luis Chavez, 69, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 26, 2018, in Olmito, Texas.

He was a retired welder from AmFELS and owner of The Sewing box / Beck Joe Party Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Chavez and Maria F. Chavez.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife Rebecca Chavez, children; Joey (Connie) Chavez, Lisa (Jon) Waughtal and Cindy (Mark) Hernandez, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as his siblings; Guadalupe Arguelles, Eddie (Otilia) Chavez Sr., Crisanto Aguilar, Gracie (David) Ramos, Janie Rangel and Mary (George) Bernal.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae Garza Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas cremation will follow according to his wishes.
