Obituary of Ernestina V. Rodriguez

Ernestina V. Rodriguez, 98, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 12, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Estanislado “Tano” Rodriguez; her parents, Juan and Artemia Vasquez; her daughter Raquel Rodriguez Martinez; her grandson Jason Rodriguez; her sisters: Luisa Martinez and Elena Juarez; and brothers: Francisco Vasquez and Antonio Vasquez.

Ernestina is survived by two daughters: Dora (Jesus) Coronado and Ernestina “Ernie” (George) Rodriguez; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Loretta Rodriguez; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 12 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 3 :00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ernestina will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are: Jason Rodriguez, Justin Villarreal, Christopher Rodriguez, J.D. Navarrete, Charles Garcia, Mario Rodriguez, Laura E. Rodriguez, Jennifer Rodriguez Ortiz, and honorary pallbearer Rodolfo Martinez.
