Obituary of Doris Mae Powell

Doris Mae Powell, 90, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Los Fresnos, Texas.

She was married to her beloved husband, Robert Powell, on February 5, 1951; in Lovington, New Mexico.  They moved around several times until they moved to Southlake, Texas where they made a wonderful home and raised their two children.  Once they retired they continued traveling then settled in Los Fresnos for the past 20 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Elvie Blalock; and one brother, George Blalock.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Robert Leon Powell; her daughter, Belinda Cummings; son, Kevin Powell; two grandsons, Chris Powell and Gregory Martin ; three granddaughters, Taylor Cummings, Brandy Cummings and Jessica Martin; daughter-in-law, Barbara Powell; and granddaughter-in-law, Suzun Powell as well as 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November, 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the recreation hall of the Palmdale RV Resort at 30910 State Highway 100 in Los Fresnos, Texas.
