Obituary of Genaro Lopez

Genaro Lopez, 82, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2017 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.

Genaro Lopez was born in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico.  He lived in Port Isabel, Texas for most of his life. He mostly worked in the shrimping industry as well as doing odd jobs in the area. He enjoyed living on his own and had countless family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Genaro Lopez  and Maria Luisa Juarez; four sisters, Lydia “Concha” Baldovinos, Caritina Torres, Gloria Lopez Juarez and Amalia Lopez Juarez; three brothers, Arnulfo Lopez, Salvador Lopez, and Senaido Lopez.

Genaro is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Chapel service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito Texas. Cremation will follow in accordance with his wishes.

Serving as pallbearers: Juan Baldovinos, Victor Baldovinos, Julio Guajardo, David Rocha, Martin Baldovinos, and Jose A. Torres.
