Obituary of Jesus Gerardo Cardenas

Jesus Gerardo Cardenas, 63, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Brownsville, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Vasquez Cardenas ; and daughter, Lucia Cardenas.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Josefina Cardenas; his children: Eduardo Daniel Cardenas, Cristina (Calvin O’Bryant) O’Bryant, Lucila (Jose E. Vega) Vega, and Teresa (Roman Gutierrez) Cardenas; his father, Simon Cardenas; one brother, Martin Luciano Cardenas; and six sisters: Marisela Silva, Rosalinda Cardenas, San Juana Cardenas, Sandra Cardenas, Nora Cardenas, and Imelda Cardenas. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Ieisha Garcia, Ian Garcia, Calvin O’Bryant, Isabella Vega, Larrisa Gutierrez, Alyssa Gutierrez, Kamille Gutierrez, and Jude Eliseo Vega.

Memorial viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
